Our Forever Home: A Case for Families & Community
OUR VISION is to create a permanent home to ensure that no family slips through the cracks and our programs can continue in the years to come.
WITH JOY AND GRATITUDE, we are delighted to announce a transformative milestone in our Village journey – we’ve purchased a historic building in downtown Huntington! This vibrant hub of family support houses Western Massachusetts’ largest basic needs center, serving over 10,000 individuals each year.
AFTER YEARS OF BORROWED SPACES and several relocations, our Village has permanent roots. We envision a welcoming, fully accessible center where families can find everything from essential supplies to parenting workshops, workforce training, and compassionate support – all under one roof.
THIS INITIATIVE will not only transform the site into centerpiece of family support in the Western MA Hilltowns, but it will also create permanent jobs and workforce training opportunities in an underserved community where every job counts!
OUR PLAN is to acquire 2 East Main Street in Huntington and bring it up to full code compliance, ensuring ADA accessibility, safety, and comfort for the families we serve. Financial support at this pivotal moment will help us accomplish these required renovations and give a second life to this local historical gem.
